Ardmore Presbyterian Weekday Pre-school
PRESCHOOL PRES(S) March 2019
I believe the groundhog was a bit confused this year!
Grateful for only two snow days, fingers crossed we are in the clear as this month “Marches” on.
On February 7th the 5-Day children will enjoyed a visit by “Stars on the Move”, a transportable planetarium. This very cool one-hour long session allows the children to feel like they are in the stars with all the planets appearing right before their eyes. It all takes place inside a giant bubble which is totally dark to simulate space.
If you wish to read more about what happens and what the children are learning please see this website, http://www.starsonthemove.com.
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER March 1st: Prayer is such an important part of our daily lives and especially teaching our children to pray for others who are in need and to be thankful for all that we are blessed with.
Speaking of prayer, we have begun chapel moments with the 3-Day and 5- Day classes. Gerry Gaugler aka Mr. Gerry, the Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries at APC, has started devotions with your children held every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel. In 15-20 minutes,
Mr. Gerry conveys a short message of faith to your children using a curriculum used by the Sunday school program here at APC.
This is working wonderfully, we are blessed to have Mr. Gerry share his gifts!
DATES: March 13th-The Whale Lady will visit the 3-Day and 5-Day classes in Fellowship Hall. The children will learn facts about whales and the story of Jonah and the whale while inside the belly of a life size blow-up whale.
